Visitor Information
The Dragon's Tooth Golf Course offers a challenging round of golf, where good shot's are rewarded. Many visitors return again and again, to try and tame the Dragon.
As a visitor to this Ballachulish golf course, you will receive a warm West Highland welcome. We are light on rules but heavy on enjoyable golf (we are all passionate about the ground and the game, not so much about etiquette). The course and club house are open to all - please just arrive, make yourself at home and meet the small team.
Along with the nine hole golf course the Dragon's Tooth (for a description of each hole, click on the VIRTUAL CADDY page on the menu) there is also a practice area featuring two target greens one of which has a practise bunker. This is a quiet and secluded area brought to the fore by the burn that the golfer has to play over from the practice tee. Making it a tranquil setting to perfect your swing.
You can make free use of the putting green and a driving net area, both situated close to The Gathering Place. Here, you can relax with a good whisky from our well stocked licened bar and hone your putting skills.
Club hire, trolley's, balls etc are all available to hire from the club house.
First time golfers are all welcome - we want your experience to be fun an relaxed with no strict dress code.
The club house makes a perfect base for the non-golfer and for golfers' families. It is a great place to find out about the rich variety of activities available in the area. From the doorstep are wonderful walks, awesome cycle tracks and fantastic forest glades. Many walkers use this as a base to the two Munro's and walks up Glen Achulish which overlooks the Dragon's Tooth golf course and over Loch Linnhe.
There's a feast of outdoor activities on offer from Glencoe Activities - everything from Paintball (operated adjacent to the Golf Course), to Canyoning to Rib Rides.
Tourist Information on the area is here. We are members of the Glencoe and Loch Leven Marketing Association, and their web site is an invaluable source of information and further links on the local area. The group produce a leaflet on activities in the area, with all there is to see and do. A pdf is available.
